After Cisterna Film Festival, from October the appointments with the cinema are back in Cisterna thanks to INDIPENDENTE, a fair of shortfilms created by the desire not to bring down the interest on the festival, about to re-open in its second edition, and create a small event to “make culture” altogether. The core of the program were works of high quality and above all independent, coming from various countries of the world. During the prime, protagonists were the shortfilms finalists, already screened during the three nights last August. The event attracted a nice and interested audience, composed indiscriminately by people who had already seen the films and others who were not present this summer. Those who took part at the prime were able to see again Premier Automne (Jury Award) and Cuerdas (Audience Award), as well as Anòmalo, L’Attimo di Vento, The Heat and Mute, chosen by the staff. Between a shortfilm and the other, it took place brief interventions, not only required by the organizers but also by the spectators, who wanted to discuss about what they saw. The register has changed with the following meetings, during which it was decided to give space to those shortfilms which, although valid and of quality, had not found place in the final selection. Among them, the Italian Tacco 12 by Valerio Vestoso, the animation movie Bendito Machine 5, the dreamlike Caradecaballo by Marc Martinez, to name only a few of them. Again the audience was interested in seeing and discussing the works.
INDEPENDENTE was organized by the director Cristian Scardigno in cooperation with the Cultural Association MObilitazioni Artistiche in the person of Marianna Cozzuto, who has also made available its own space in Via Manzoni 5 in Cisterna to allow the holding of the event.
