On Friday, 21 July, at 5 pm, a free film workshop will be held for young people aged between 14 and 18. The speaker will be Sebastiano Rizzo who will illustrate his experience as film-director and will lead the participants in the shooting of some test scenes.

Sebastiano Rizzo is an Italian director who has made cinematic art an instrument of civic hope. He directed actors like Enrico Lo Verso, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Dino Abbrescia in the movie “Nomi e Cognomi” (Names and Surnames) that is about brave journalism, the kind of journalism that does not bother with fear and prefers the path of truth, facts that, as the protagonist – a great Enrico Lo Verso – says, “[…] always have names and surnames.”

Coming soon in the Italian cinemas, “Gramigna”, which brings to the big screen the true story of a boy, Luigi, born into a criminal family who succeeded in creating a new future for himself and having a life away from organized crime. Among the actors are Gianluca Di Gennaro, Biagio Izzo, Ernesto Mahieux, Teresa Saponangelo and Enrico Lo Verso.

Stories of hope and faith in humanity, those told by Rizzo, which make it a great testimonial for the world of youth to whom the workshop is addressed; it will be “a dialogue with young people, a way to excite curiosity in them and to illustrate what a backstage is like.”
